For this week’s art quote, I’ve added a little contradiction to the mix on the subject of Anxiety:
Anxiety is the essential condition of intellectual and artistic creation and everything that is finest in human history.
…… Charles FrankelWork done with anxiety about results is far inferior to work done without such anxiety, in the calm of self-surrender.
…… The Bhagavad Gita
I feel both to be true in their own way. There is great art that is created in the pure beauty and serenity of the moment. And there is great art which arises from an ocean of anxiety and tempest.
What are your thoughts? Are you an anxious or a serene artist??
Many thanks to “The Painter’s Keys” for these quotes.

Definitely under anxiety; I'm also a perfectionist. It's an interesting subject, and I may take it on in my next project, which is a podcast called "Something That Happened".
I am much better not worrying about how a piece will come out. I have found that my abstract art is better if I have some stress in my life.
