Looking for interesting, effective, and fun art reading? We’ve just completed a major makeover of Art Marketing Secrets and we’d love to have you come visit, learn, enjoy, and interact…
In the heady days of the impressionists and post-impressionists, artists would sit in salons drinking coffee and all manner of potent beverages all the while discussing and arguing about art. Our vision is to make Art Marketing Secrets a similar hub of art interactivity – We can’t promise much in the way of drinks or snacks or designated drivers (!) but we’d love to see your comments and opinions and to hear what YOU think – you can whisper quietly or even yell if you’d like to!
In 1975 Tom Wolfe in his excellent book, “The Painted Word” warned that art could become dominated by writing and critical opinion in the future – he even suggested that an art exhibition in the new century might consist of vast walls of print commenting on tiny pieces of art the size of postage stamps. Well guess what – much of what he predicted has come true.
We don’t like it! So we decided to buck the system. As a result, the new Art Marketing Secrets is VERY visual – we think that art sites should have lots of art and images – not just endless essays and opinions!
Interested in marketing art, selling art, social networking for artists, artist websites, art & design, or inspiration? It’s all there on the page for your learning, and enjoyment. It’s also very easy to see what’s available and to find topics that interest you.
In future we’ll be adding some great new features too – like guest articles and a monthly featured artist. And art marketing tools, competitions, member-only offers, and discounts? You can count on it!
Please take a good look around and join our email list to hear latest news and offers. Be sure to leave a comment on one or more of the articles – the world will be forever changed as a result of your presence here!
I love the salon analogy! But why exactly can't you provide drinks and snacks??
