The Wall Street Journal ran an interesting article looking at the qualifications most needed to run a modern art museum. Should our Museum Leaders be Scholars with credentials in the art world and curating? Or does it make more sense to bring the skills of a corporate CEO’s background to the job?
While I understand and appreciate the value of corporate skills, I hope that we never see the day when decisions about art are left to a boardroom desperate to please investors. What do others think?
