Art Marketing Tip Of The Week – Remember Your Art!

Submitted by Daniel on September 7, 2005 – 5:02 pmNo Comment
This might sound so obvious but it’s often overlooked……

In today’s art market, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the myriad of different possibilities and challenges in marketing your art. So much so that sometimes it can be hard to figure out if we are really artists after all or if we’ve crossed that dangerous line and now only create art in between our marketing activities.

Practicing art is a lifeline. The more you do it, the more your creative faculties open up and help to solve other problems (including marketing). Remember to keep a commitment to creating new work every week – Left and right-brain activities need to be balanced or everything suffers.

If you ever have one of those days when nothing seems to work, give yourself some time out and go visit an art museum or exhibit. Immersing in the creative flow of other artists’ work can do wonders!
